Palliative care support group
We run a support group for anyone with a palliative cancer diagnosis, regardless of whether you have specialist palliative care needs.
The palliative care support group takes place at our Norwich Cancer Support Centre in the grounds of the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and online, providing a safe, confidential, and informal space to share palliative care concerns and our support team can answer any condition related questions.

If you’re unable to attend one of our Centres, we also have an online group, to ensure no matter where you live, you can access this specialist support, facilitated by our Big C nurses.
Who is the group for?
The palliative care support group helps support patients right through the journey, from diagnosis to end of life, however long that road may be. As the group is part of the Palliative Care Programme, it means that our support team can work with you and ensure you receive the right support, whether that’s attending the group, or having 1:1 sessions or counselling.
What happens in the group?
We talk about a wide range of subjects including financial and welfare advice, funeral planning, and guidance on nutrition and healthy eating. Being part of the group means you can talk to people in a similar situation, share experiences and concerns.
