How to book your support

There are many ways you can book your Big C support. We’re here for you in which ever way suits you best.

Call us

Our support line is open Monday to Friday, from 9am until 5pm (excluding bank holidays). If we’re unable to answer your call, please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

You can send us an email with your enquiry. Our emails are monitored Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm (excluding bank holidays).

Speak to your GP

Your GP or healthcare team can make a referral to Big C on your behalf, or they can contact us to find out more about the most appropriate support services for you.

Visit us

With Support Centres in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn, you’re welcome to just pop in and see us (Mon – Fri, 9am – 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays). We also have weekly support hubs in Thetford, Wells, Cromer and Halesworth. For more information on opening times of specific centres, please visit ‘Our Centres’.

How to book FAQs

How long does it take to be seen?

We understand how important it is for you to be seen as soon as possible, and aim to get you booked in either for a telephone conversation, online or at one of our Centres as soon as we can. Our Support Centres are also available for you to drop in between 9am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Are there a certain amount of times I can be seen?

We are happy to see you for as long as you need. If you’re receiving counselling, we’re usually able to offer up to 6 sessions, however, your counsellor will work with you to ensure you’re ready before bringing your sessions to an end.

I need out of hours support. Who can I contact?

For medical emergencies, call 999 IMMEDIATELY.

For urgent (non-life threatening) medical problems, call 111.

Emotional and mental health support lines:

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust: Call 0808 196 3494 – available 24 hours a day

Samaritans: Call 116 123 – available 24 hours a day

Alternative cancer support:

Macmillan: Call 0808 80 80 000 – open 7 days a week, 8am – 8pm
