You may wish to fundraise yourself, with family and friends or within your local group. Whatever the idea, be it large or small, we know you will have a great time raising vital funds for Big C.

Did you know we have 12 charity shops across Norfolk including a dedicated Craft Supplies Shop, Furniture Emporium, Bridal and a high-end fashion Boutique? We are always looking for high quality donations.

We are always looking for volunteers including in our Support Centres, shops and at our Fundraising events. Volunteering is a great way to spend some free time, meet new people, and gain experience.

Help us build a new Cancer Support Centre in Norwich. Support our vision to bring greater cancer care nearer to home. Donate now.

How to donate

We rely on the generosity of those within our communities to donate items for us to sell in our network of charity shops. We are consistently thrilled and blown away by the support of our loyal customers, staff and volunteers.

You can donate to any of our charity shops Monday – Saturday, from 10am until 3pm*.

*Please note, our Diss store can only take donations Wednesday – Saturday, from 11am until 3pm.

We also accept donations directly at our Distribution Centre in Wymondham at:

Big C Distribution Centre
2-4 Allenbrooks Way
NR18 0NW

Tel: 01953 603320

Hours: 11am – 3pm (Tuesday – Saturday)

What can I donate?

We welcome donations of clothing and accessories, DVDs, books, CDs, bric-à-brac, crockery, glassware, toys, linen and furniture including sofas, chairs, dining sets and coffee tables. We will also sell your wedding attire and formal wear through our Bridal Boutique or any designer clothing or accessories through our new Wymondham Fashion Boutique.

Whilst many items donated will go to loving homes, unfortunately the shops are unable to sell other donations, due to poor quality stock being donated. Please keep your donations coming but we would ask all supporters to think “Would I give this to a friend?” before donating the item to one of our shops, as poor quality donations can cost the charity to dispose of.

Furniture donations

If you have furniture you wish to donate, we can arrange a free of charge collection. To arrange collection, or with any questions about donations, please telephone the shop you wish to donate to (contact details for each shop can be found here) or our Wymondham Distribution Centre on 01953 603320 or email

All donations must be in a saleable condition. There may be some items in the following categories that we are not able to accept – electrical, heating and cooking, sports and safety equipment, children’s equipment, software and hardware, weapons. All shops have a full list of items we cannot accept.

At certain times we hope that you will understand if we also have to turn donations away when volume levels are too high for us to handle.

We can help to improve your quality of life, physical health, and mental wellbeing.

Some people take to the skies, run, jump, walk, swim and cycle whilst others make tea, bake cakes or shave heads.

What will you do to make a difference?

Two men from Norfolk who found themselves with cancer and having to travel for treatment, vowed local people would have access to the best treatment and support … and in 1980 the Big C Appeal was formed.
