100k in May

1 – 31 May

Whether you walk the dog, have a family cycle, hit the gym, canoe along the river or walk the Norfolk coastal path, we’re challenging you to complete 100 kilometres in May! It could be on your own, with your friends or getting the whole family involved to reach your target. However you choose to take part, do it your way.

Where

Anywhere!

It’s free to sign up, all we’re asking is that you pledge to raise a minimum of £50 during the month. The more you raise, the more you’ll be helping support local people affected by cancer.

You can sign yourself up or get the whole family involved. Whether you mix the activities up and add everyone’s achievements together or just stick to one and complete the challenge on your own, it’s up to you!

At the end of the challenge, you will receive a medal if you’ve raised £50 and a Big C T-shirt if you raise over £100! If you can’t wait to get your hands on one of our T-shirts, they’re also available to purchase on our online shop.

Need a bit of inspiration?

Here are a few ideas of how you could reach your target: Walking, cycling, swimming, running, horse riding, roller blading, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, gym, or even climbing the stairs at home!

“This is a brilliant way to get your family and friends involved in fundraising and get active at the same time. From cycling and walking to canoeing and rollerblading, everyone can take part in this fun challenge!”

Can I complete the challenge any time?

You’ve got the whole month of May to complete this challenge, so whether you do something every day or complete a longer distance each weekend, it doesn’t matter. What ever works for you!

Is this a family event?

Because you can choose any activity you wish, this fundraiser is suitable for all ages to get involved and enjoy. If you’re worried about the distance, why not share the miles between you and join forces to reach your 100k target?

Will I reach my fundraising target?

We’re asking you to pledge to raise £50 from this challenge, and we’ll be there every step of the way to support you. We’ve got plenty of tips on how to achieve your goal, but the best way is to tell all your family and friends about what you’re doing. Share your journey on social media with updates and photos and always include a link to your JustGiving page to make it easy for people to support you. If you aren’t able to set up a donation page online, we’ll be sending you a sponsorship form to use instead. If you’re worried at any stage, you can email the fundraising team for advice and support.
