Norfolk Businesses are Putting the Kettle on for Big C’s Big Cuppa
Local businesses are getting their teacups and cake forks ready to support Big C’s annual fundraising event Big Cuppa.
Big Cuppa returns for World Cancer Day, 4 February, to recognise and raise awareness of the cancer support, research and care happening throughout Norfolk and the World. This year, Big Cuppa takes place 29 January – 9 February.
A range of local businesses, including ARC, Nurture Marketing, Yellow Brick Mortgages and CIM Signs & Graphics, are getting ready to organise their Big Cuppa events.
Talking about their 2023 event, Rechenda Smith of Nurture Marketing said, “We really enjoyed organising our Big Cuppa coffee morning at Nurture HQ! The team brought in delicious cakes and treats for everyone to enjoy, which tasted even better knowing we were supporting Big C at the same time.”
Arc, a specialist recruitment agency, is hosting their Big Cuppa event as part of the company’s decision to support Big C as their charity of the year.
Adam Miller, operations director said, “Cancer is something that’s close to my heart, and we want to raise as much money as we can with the amazing events we have planned for 2024.”
Big Cuppa events can be hosted at home, the office, on a driveway, village hall or online. Fundraisers could organise a traditional coffee morning and treat guests to some homemade goods, have a bake sale in their front garden or mix it up and have a takeaway with friends.
Norwich Research Park, one of five BBSRC funded UK Research and Innovation Campuses, is organising a ‘Bring and Buy’ event in aid of Big C on 30 January. A selection of homemade goods, from cakes and jams to crafts, cards and jewellery, will be on sale with all funds raised going to the charity.
This year’s Big Cuppa event is sponsored by local tea company Norfolk Tea.
Stephen Newham, Co-Founder, said, “As a Norfolk business we are very excited to sponsor Big C’s Big Cuppa event. We love this place we call home, and we are very pleased to be part of this wonderful event knowing that all funds raised will help local people affected by cancer.”
There’s still plenty of time to get involved with this year’s Big Cuppa, so sign up for your free fundraising pack and pop the kettle on!
