Big C to Hold Jingle Jangle Fun Run at Thetford Forest
Big C is holding its first Christmas Fun Run on Sunday 3rd December at High Lodge, Thetford.
‘Jingle Jangle’ is a fun run with a difference. All participants will be given a wristband with bells on, to recreate the magical sound of Santa’s sleigh as they run or walk through the forest.
On the day, families can choose between a 2.5k and a 5k route and participants and spectators alike are being encouraged to dress up in their best festive outfits, santa hats and really enter into the Christmas spirit.
Kat Jarvis, fundraising and events coordinator at Big C said, “We’re so excited about holding our first Jingle Jangle Fun Run, giving families an opportunity to come together at the start of the festive season, complete a fun challenge and then enjoy a variety of Christmas activities organised by Forestry England.”
On completion of the challenge, which is being sponsored by independent financial planners, Loveday & Partners, those attending the event can enjoy a Christmas Market organised by Forestry England. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas, with mulled wine, festive food and a variety of stalls including Christmas wreaths, skincare, candles, homemade wooden crafts and more.
Jake Mardell, active forest coordinator at High Lodge said, “We’re excited to kick off the Christmas festivities this year at High Lodge on Sunday 3rd December. This will be a great family day out for everyone with plenty of things to do including a Christmas market. We’re proud to again be working alongside an amazing local charity in Big C and their Christmas fun run will create a festive atmosphere through the forest.
We are welcoming local businesses onsite to showcase what they do, and this gives people a chance to start their Christmas shopping. Be sure to try out our elf trail whilst onsite or get competitive with activities such as disc golf, archery, or adventure golf.”
