Family support
Cancer affects not just the patient, but the entire family. With the assistance and expertise of a dedicated educational psychologist, Big C has launched a groundbreaking new programme of holistic care and support to offer children with a cancer diagnosis and their families, as well as families going through a cancer diagnosis.
The programme is based at our NNUH Centre in the grounds of the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, however, support can be provided across all our Big C centres, in person and online, ensuring your family receives the support you need in a way that suits you best.
How can we support you?
Whether a child or family member is receiving treatment locally or further afield, our team can work with you to ensure you receive the right support, including psychological support, counselling and play therapy. Our family support is tailored to each family, so we’ll guide you through the options and suggest ways we can work with you.
Our educational psychologist can help children cope with a cancer diagnosis, ensuring positive long-term adjustment, providing holistic support when it comes to navigating school, learning, and emotional wellbeing.
This has been made possible by the generous support of the Ladies in League Against Cancer.
