There was a fantastic turnout for Big C’s Annual Golf Day on Tuesday 5 October at Bawburgh Golf Club, Norwich sponsored once again by the Alan Boswell Group.
22 mixed teams from across Norfolk and Suffolk turned out for the event and despite the heavy downpours earlier on in the morning, the weather turned out better than the forecast and the golfers enjoyed some blue skies and a great day on the well kept course.
Carole Slaughter, Big C Head of Fundraising and Communications said: “A huge congratulations to the winning team on the day, East Bilney Coachworks, as well as our second placed team ECR, and Tele-Tronics who came in third. It was absolutely fantastic to see such a large group of people coming together to support Big C and enjoy a great day out at Bawburgh. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who came along, we have raised significant funds for the charity which will help local people affected by cancer. We had great fun through the 18 holes plus the delicious meal and following prize-giving, with a silent auction and very lively raffle! We look forward to growing the event again for 2022.
“On behalf of Big C, I would like to thank our main event sponsors Alan Boswell Group plus our additional sponsors Norwich Accountancy Services, Solar Signs & Graphics, Constitution Motors, Source One and East Bilney Coachworks. I would also like to thank very much everyone who attended and donated today, as well as Bawburgh who looked after us fantastically, GDScore Live Golf Scoring and a huge thank you to our Big C volunteers who kept everyone hydrated and well fed at the Halfway House.”
