Computer simulations for real world results
£53,642 in spring 2010 for a UEA School of Biological Sciences research project into factors affecting colon cancer.
Adenomatous Polyposis Coli (APC) is a protein found in the body that regulates the growth of cells; mutation of APC is found in most colorectal cancers.
The aim of this pilot study is to create 2D and 3D culture models and computer simulations which will allow for high resolution imaging, experimental manipulation and detailed analysis of APC.
