Did you know we have 12 charity shops across Norfolk including a dedicated Craft Supplies Shop, Furniture Emporium, Bridal and a high-end fashion Boutique? We are always looking for high quality donations.

Introducing the Big C Executive Team

Dr Chris Bushby

Chief Executive

With more than 30 years’ experience as a successful business and community leader, Chris has broad experience of management and governance developed in a wide range of commercial, educational, public and third sector contexts. Previously Chris was Executive Director of the Suffolk Agricultural Association for more than 20 years, where he grew the asset value of the business from £3 million to over £10 million. In addition to his strategic leadership, Chris is driving forward the Big C Business Plan.

Dr Melanie Pascale

Dr Pascale has an extensive background in clinical science with a long-term focus on cancer research and cancer services, initially studying for her PhD at the Quadram Institute of Bioscience, exploring Bladder Carcinogenesis and the Biological activity Isothiocyanates.

Prior to joining Big C, Dr Pascale worked for many years at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. She is Principal Investigator for the Norfolk Diabetes Prevention Study, a 2.5 NIHR funded and the world’s largest diabetes prevention research programme for the last 30 years and lead on the successful development and opening of the NHS Clinical Research Facility in the Quadram Institute.

In her role at Big C, she leads and manages the charity’s operational services and the development and delivery of Big C’s support and information services, research grants and education programmes.

Katherine Morgan

Company Secretary

Katherine is a Chartered Governance Professional with 25 years’ experience of working with voluntary sector organisations and prior to joining Big C in 2009 she was the Group Secretary for a regional group of social housing providers.

In her role at Big C Kate works closely with the Board of Trustees and colleagues to ensure that Big C meets statutory and good practice requirements for the robust governance of the charity. Kate is also responsible for the stewardship of our grant giving framework, legacy income pipeline, and complaints.

Dale Coleman

Dale Coleman

Director of Corporate Services

Dale is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants who started his career in public practice working on audits for both PLCs and smaller local companies.

He then spent over 20 years in the motor industry as Director of five motor dealerships before switching career paths to spend 10 years as Director of Resources within the education sector; finally moving to the third sector by joining Big C.

In his role at Big C, Dale has responsibility for the backroom functions and with his team works to ensure the charity operates professionally and efficiently to ensure the maximum sum from the donor pound goes to the delivery of frontline services.
