This year's Walk of Thoughts took place on Sunday 28th June 2009 and followed last year's beautiful route around Fritton Lake, starting and ending near Fritton House Hotel.
The 6 mile route takes you through woodland, fields and meadows and is a tranquil setting to remember and support those loved ones and friends affected by cancer. It is a stunning, family friendly, cross country route with a very special atmosphere.

Big C Walk of Thoughts - Sunday 29th June 2008
Walking Together to Support and Remember
This year's sponsored walk was held on Sunday 29th June 2008, walkers took a stunning new route around the cicumference of Fritton Lake. 333 people took part in the walk on the beautiful June day to support those affected by cancer and to raise funds for Big C.
Entrants were given a commemorative ribbon to wear and those who wished to, made special dedications to those they were walking for on a dedication tree located at the end of the walk.
Many moving dedications were left this year. One from a boy walking for his nana wrote, "Keep fighting and I love you", another dedication read, "Life is too short - we need to live it for them". To read all the dedications left at the tree this year, click here.
Last year's event raised in the region of £15,000.

Event organiser, Rachel Irvine, said, "The walk went extremely well. I would like to thank all those who marshalled and walked with such spirit and enthusiasm and made it such a poignant and touching event and who, in raising sponsorship for their efforts, help us to continue our important work funding complete care for cancer patients locally".
Tributes, dedications and messages of support were displayed on a special Dedication Tree on the third Big C Walk of Thoughts, which took place at Somerleyton Estate.
'I am walking for those who have fought and won, those who have fought and lost and most importantly those who are still fighting'.
