Volunteers - The lifeblood of our organisation
The Big C values highly the contribution made by our dedicated band of volunteers and we would be delighted to hear from you should you wish to become part of this very special team. We always need people to help in our shops and office in central Norwich, and there are endless opportunities to take part in our fundraising events.
Shop Volunteers
The Big C runs two busy shops in central Norwich and volunteers are always needed for a variety of important roles, both on the shop floor and behind the scenes. In many ways the shops are kept going by our enthusiastic team of helpers, who interact with the customers, sort stock and price donated items. If you can commit some time each week and are looking for a rewarding and social experience then we would like to hear from you.
Office Volunteers
These are people who give up some of their time to help us in our office on Castle Meadow. The jobs that need doing vary depending on what is going on at The Big C and you could find yourself archiving newspaper articles, stuffing envelopes or helping with campaign mail outs. Good experience for you – invaluable support for us. If you have a couple of hours free per week, have general office skills and would like to help, why not contact us.
Fundraising Volunteers
This versatile group of volunteers lend their hands to a wide variety of community fundraising events, including collections, cycle rides, concerts, coffee mornings and many more. We also have several active support groups who share ideas and put on various fundraising activities on our behalf. You may like to join one, or even set up a new group of your own.
