The HOPE Course

A six week interactive, group based, self management support course for those living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.

The HOPE Course is for patients living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. The course aims to help people cope emotionally and practically by focusing on their exisiting strengths. It is for those who feel able to share their thoughts and feelings, as well as listen to others.

The course is led by a healthcare professional and sessions last two and a half hours, and run over six weeks. 

The course will cover:
  • Goal setting and action planning
  • Stress management
  • Mindfulness and relaxation
  • Character strengths
  • Fatique management
  • Getting active and feeling good
The course aims to help you:
  • Communicate effectively with those close to you
  • Recognise your potential
  • Feel more confident
  • Make plans and achieve goals
These techniques will have a positive impact on your individual health and wellbeing.
