Clinical Trials Nurse

A dedicated role for the international research into melanomas

Autumn 2010

£18,109 to allow the appointment of a Clinical Trials Nurse at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Department at NNUH is taking part in two studies of patients with melanoma (a malignant tumour of melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin in the skin).

The trials have been organised by two world renowned cancer centres; The John Wayne Institute (USA) and University Medical Centre (Netherlands) and shows NNUH is nationally and internationally recognised as a leading centre for skin cancer research.

The Clinical Trials Nurse will be employed for one year to assist with the day to day running of the trials, ensuring valuable information for future research and treatment options.
