This year the Annual Big C Holkham Cycle Ride takes place on Sunday 5th Ocotber 2008. The 23rd annual sponsored cycle ride is a fun family day out and an important Big C event to raise funds for cancer equipment, care, support and research in Norfolk & Waveney.
The cycle ride is approximately 6 miles long around the magnificant Holkham Hall Estate in North Norfolk, how many laps you complete is upto you! The
The event is open to teams, families and individuals of all abilities with no age limit. The route is marshalled from 10.00am - 4.00pm with last riders leaving at 1.00pm. Pre-bookable bike hire is available along with refreshments on the day. First aid will be provided on site and the route will be marshaled throughout the day. Dogs are also permitted provided they are kept on a lead.
Following the ride, awards are presented to the team, youth and individual who raised the most sponsorship.

Big C 22nd Annual Holkham Cycle Ride was on
7th October 2007!
Big C were joined by 302 eager cyclists on Sunday 7th October as the 22nd Annual Holkham Cycle Ride got under way in the glorious autumnal Sunshine. Although this was a sponsored cycle ride, those without cycles participated by either walking or jogging the 6 mile circuit around the magnificant Holkham Hall Estate. Participants included young children, teenagers and those less young but just keen to take part!
One of Big C's regular supporters, Graham Nobbs of Norwich dressed as a Frenchman with his striped top, beret and string of onions and completed 9 circuits.
The first person to complete a circuit was William Todd of Worlingham who has lost several members of his family to cancer.
