Can you help contribute to the work of Big C by giving your time?
There are many types of volunteer opportunities at Big C:
Big C Ambassador:
- Circulate/ put up marketing materials on local notice boards, in shops/cafes/pubs etc
- Encourage local shops to hold Collection Tins (and keep refreshed)
- Tell people you meet in the cafes/shops etc about Big C
- Encourage local individuals or groups to support Big C (for example by holding their own event)
- Undertake store collections
Marketing Volunteer:
- Write copy for local publications
- Create basic material
- Working on and sending e-newsletter
- Updating Big C website
Fundraising Office Volunteer:
- Counting money
- Filing for specific roles, supporting full time staff
- Mailing and making up packs
- Data entry
Individual Giving Volunteer:
- Acknowledging donations
- Writing ‘thank you’ letters
Events Volunteers:
- Marshaling at events
- Car-parking at events
- Drivers
- Events support
Committee Administrator:
- Minutes for monthly/quarterly meetings
- Produce mailing templates
- Keep membership details up to date
- Pay in donations raised
Retail Volunteer:
- Sorting donations
- Till work
- Shop floor work
- Pricing
- Shop administration
