We offer a full range of support online, ensuring you can access our services in which ever form suits you best. Whether you’re looking for 1:1 support or you’d like to join a group, take a look at what’s available.

However you need us, our online support hub is here for you.

How to book your support

Call

Call us on 0800 092 7640
to chat to our support team (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, excluding bank holidays).

Email us on support@bigc.co.uk with your contact details and we’ll be in touch.

Speak to your GP

Have a chat with your GP or healthcare team, who will be able to get in touch with us on your behalf.

Can I attend online groups as well as 1:1 sessions?

When you speak to a member of the support team they’ll be able to suggest what might work for you in terms of support. If you’re unable to attend one of our Centres, then they’ll talk you through the options online.

What happens in an online support group?

Our online support groups are very similar to our groups that meet in person. They provide you with the opportunity to meet other people who are going through similar experiences, to share stories and support one another.

1:1 support sessions

These can be held at a time that suits you and a Support Worker. Get in touch to find out more.

Carers support group

Held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 2-3pm

Counselling sessions

These can be held at a time that suits you and a Counsellor. Get in touch to find out more.

Get Moving (including yoga, pilates and gentle exercise & stretch)

Gentle Exercise & Stretch: Every Tuesday from 10-11am

Yoga: Every Thursday from 10-11am

Pilates: Every Friday from 10-11am

Seated Pilates: Every Friday from 11.30am-12.30pm

Men’s support group

Held on the 3rd Monday of the month from 2-3.30pm

Nourish & Nurture

These sessions are held fortnightly* on Tuesdays from 10.30am-12noon.

*Dates depend on when the group starts

Palliative support group

Held on the 1st Thursday of the month from 10-11am

Relaxation sessions

Every Tuesday from 2-3pm

Women’s support group

Held on the 1st Friday of the month from 2-3.30pm

I am a Support and Information officer so I am here to listen to and support those affected by cancer and the people around them, and to help find the information they need during their treatment journey and beyond.

Having had family members who have experienced cancer and previously worked in the third sector helping people, I felt that the Big C was an invaluable service where I could make a positive difference to people’s lives.

I support people affected by cancer in person and over the phone or online. I facilitate our Ladies Breast Support Group and assist with our Ladies and Carers support groups at King’s Lynn.

I work at the Bic C to help make a difference, by actively listening and empowering people affected by cancer with the information I provide.

I support individuals affected by cancer and facilitate the men’s support group in Great Yarmouth.

My interest in humanism and desire to better understand cancer from an individualistic point of view is what attracted me to Big C. Had I known about the free support that Big C offers, when my father was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2012, I like to think I would have dared to walk through that door—because what awaits behind it is not to be feared, but to be delighted in.

I have worked in a wide range of social care and education roles for over 25 years.

I have lost family members to cancer, so I know how important it is to have the right support.

I offer emotional wellbeing support to anyone affected by cancer, face to face, online and over the phone. I can register service users and book them in for complementary therapy and Jennifer Young treatments or welfare appointments.

I have a real passion to help people during times when they are particularly vulnerable. I also lost my mum to cancer when I was 16.

I have a varied role, which includes providing emotional support to service users and carers face to face, by telephone and online. I also assist in facilitating Big C’s invaluable support groups.

I initially saw the amazing work that Big C does first hand as a Meet and Greet volunteer for the charity and it is a cause very close to my heart. Big C provides much needed services for anyone affected by cancer and I am proud to be a small part of providing that support.
