Big C opens new shop in Attleborough

Big C will open their first new shop for three years in Attleborough at the end of May.
The Big C shop will be situated in the former Post Office and where possible, care has been taken to retain features to reflect the building’s former use.

Before the store opens its doors, Big C needs donations of stock with which to fill its new shop fittings. If you are having a spring clean at home, they are requesting items including good quality clothing, shoes and accessories, household objects, decorative accessories, books, CDs and bric-a-brac.
Drop off days for donations at the new shop, which is located on High Street Attleborough, (next to Sainsbury’s), are being held on Thursday 25th May and Friday 26th May between 10am and 4pm.

Big C would also love to hear from volunteers who would like to help support the shop managers in running the store. Duties include sorting stock and helping on the tills.

Clive Evans, Director of Income Generation and Communications at Big C says, “Our shops provide an integral part of our charitable income. We rely on the generous time and energy our volunteers give to Big C. It’s a great way to meet new people and spend some free time and for some it’s also a good way to gain experience of the retail sector.”
Clive continues, “On average 20 people are given a cancer diagnosis every day in Norfolk and Waveney and the need for our services are increasing daily.  Your unwanted gifts, outgrown clothes and any other items would go a long way to support people affected by cancer in our community.”
Big C has 10 other charity shops in towns and communities across Norfolk and Waveney, including a distribution centre, furniture emporium and craft supplies shop at Wymondham. There is also a Bridal Boutique in Timberhill which helps keep the cost down when planning a wedding.
