Street Elite Cruiserz (Cruiserz) raised more than £1200 for Big C at a special static meet held on the first anniversary of a previous member Mark Callf, who died of cancer a year ago.
More than 700 people turned out on the Macro site at Broadland Business Park to see classic and modified cars, filling the car park within 45 minutes of the gates opening. Trophies were awarded across four categories, including the “Show and Shine” for modified cars and money raised through bucket donations, a raffle with donated prizes and several side stalls totalling £1253.16.
Co-founders of Street Elite Cruiserz Chris Baker and Louise Wilsea, and event organisers said Mark’s passing away had “really hit the club hard, but the event was a great way to celebrate his life.” They are pictured handing over the cheque to Big C Events Manager Dan Bell.
It will be a busy year for the club which celebrates its 10th anniversary with a packed programme of activities. For further details visit http://www.facebook.com/streetelitecruiserz1
