Wayland Show Ball raises £12,000 for Big C

This years Wayland Show Spring Ball has raised a fantastic £12,000 for Big C.

In March this year the Wayland Show Committee held their annual Spring Ball. Every year the committee picks a different charity to support and in 2015 Big C were incredibly grateful to be chosen as the recipient.

A new organising team of Claire Bowes, Shirley Scott and Adrian and Steph Soskin meant new ideas were introduced for this very successful fundraiser. A wonderful dinner was followed by an auction and tombola with music provided by the superb Eddie Seales band which kept over 200 people dancing until 2am.

The team now moves on to organising Norfolk’s oldest one day show, the Wayland Show held near Watton on Sunday 2nd August. Totally run by a willing group of volunteers, the primary aim of the show, apart from all its varied attractions and being a key event in Norfolk’s summer calendar, is to raise money for local charities. So not only are you able to have a fantastic day with friends and family but also know that whilst you are enjoying yoursef, you are making a significant contribution locally.
