Sisters complete cycle ride challenge in memory of their mother

Thursday 4th June saw sisters Jo Ivens and Jennifer Brewin set off from the UCL Cancer Centre in London for their 150 mile bike ride to Norwich.

They were cycling in memory of their mother Christina Crease who passed away a year ago this June. Christina was a stalwart supporter of Big C, organising many events in the local community where she lived to raise money for Big C as well as later going on to volunteer in our Beccles shop.

On the anniversary of their mothers passing Jo and Jen decided to take up the cycling challenge in memory of Christina to raise money for Big C and the UCL Cancer Centre where Christina was treated. They would be cycling for three days finishing at the Norwich Big C Centre at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

On Saturday 6th June they were greeted at the Norwich Big C Centre by a welcoming party of family and friends as well as Big C Community Fundraisers Amy & Rachel. They have so far raised over £8,000 for the two charities with more donations coming in. From everyone at Big C we would like to say a big thank you and well done to both Jo and Jen, as well as all their supporters and everyone who has donated.
