Now that 2015 is here many of us are setting ourselves some New Years resolutions to get outisde and be more active, eat or drink less, or to take up a new activity in our spare time. When thinking about goals in 2015 why not consider how you can help your local community and those affected by cancer?
Here are just a few ideas about how to support Big C in 2015:
Volunteering is a great way to support Big C. We rely on the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team of volunteers to help those affected by cancer in Norfolk & Waveney. Volunteering is an incredibly rewarding way to spend some free time. You can also gain valuable skills that are useful for future employment prospects and meet new people.
Our charity shops are in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help in the day-to-day running of our shops. If you would like to find out more about volunteering in one of our shops then pop into your local Big C shop (details and addresses can be found HERE
) and speak to the shop manager. Alternatively if you are interested in volunteering in our Office or one of our support centres then please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01603 619900
Challenge yourself to raise funds!
Every year brave supporters take on exceptional fundraising challenges to support Big C. This year we have a variety of events you can take part in from our Big Jump in July (details HERE
) or join us in the return of the Cambridge to Norwich Cycle Ride (details coming soon)
But first why not join us next month as we launch our Big C Walk of Fire!
We're inviting 70 people to walk across fire in order to raise funds for Big C. Each person must pledge to donate £200, either with a £25 deposit whilst raising the rest through fundraising, or a larger depsoit with a smaller fundraising commitment.
Saturday 21st February 7.00pm
For further details call us on 01603 619900 or email email@example.com
We will also be publishing a wide range of challenges, marathons and other activities you can book to help raise money for Big C soon!
