Big C is delighted to be able to invite cancer patients and carers to a series of free informal training sessions introducing the world of research.
Your input into our services, and into those in hospitals and communities, is enormously valuable. These sessions will give you a basic understanding of some of the issues involved in health research. There is no need to have any prior knowledge or understanding.
Sessions are free of charge and all refreshments, including lunch, will be provided by Big C. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
These sessions have been designed and will be led by members of the National NHS Research and Development Forum - Service Users and Carers Working Group. Each session will be led by one health professional and one service user trainer.
All workshops will be held from 10am to 3.30pm at Big C Head Office, 10a Castle Meadow, Norwich. You are welcome to join us for one, two or all the below sessions.
Wednesday 29 February - Introduction to research
Wednesday 7 March - Research questions
Wednesday 14 March - Interview skills
All sessions must be pre-booked and places are limited - so please book your place as soon as you can. As this is the first time that we have run these sessions you will be asked at the end of each for your feedback.
For more information, or to book a place, contact Big C’s head of clinical services Nikki Morris on email@example.com or 07500 115342.
We really look forward to having you join us!
