Men all over the county will be getting hairy this month to raise money after the annual Big C Big Fuzz kicked off on February 1.
Big C, Norfolk and Waveney's own cancer charity, runs the Big Fuzz every year to raise money. Men get sponsored to do something beard-related - either grow a moustache or a beard, or do something else with the fuzz on their face.
Jason Double-King is supporting Big Fuzz this year. He said: “Big C is a cause close to my heart. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2002, when she was only 59. She had a single mastectomy three weeks after she was diagnosed. It was a difficult time for the whole family.
“There have been lots of times since she's been given the all clear that we've all been worried it's come back - once it's happened it's always a worry. But she's got her last check up this year and then she'll be 10 years clear and free of hospital appointments.
So I thought I'd do my bit and grow a beard - I'm good at that. I'm starting February with a couple of week's growth anyway so it's going to be a fuzzy one!”
