Counsellors and Therapists - Big C needs you!
Big C has provided a range of services to those affected by cancer and their families. From our centre at the Norwich and Norfolk university hospital we are expanding our provision to new centres in Great Yarmouth, Kings Lynn and Cromer in the coming months - Closer To You. In order that we can respond directly to the needs expressed by our community we need a pool of capable and available support specialists that we can all upon. Great Yarmouth will open in September 2012.
We currently provide the following services to our community:
· Bereavement support
· Counselling
· Complementary therapies
· Wellbeing
· Nutritional advice
· Welfare advice
· Relaxation sessions
Empowerment and assisting our community to mange their lives at a time of challenge and on an ongoing basis is the reason for our care and support services. We offer services to young people and adults, elder people, and families. If you are an experienced and capable therapist or counsellor and would like to work with the Big C in supporting and caring for our community we would like to hear from you.
Please write a letter of introduction stating why you wish to work with Big C and what you can offer our community. Please include your CV and details of the type of care and support you could offer, which client groups you could work with , where you can work, details of your terms of business, your hourly rates, qualifications and supervision arrangements. Do let us know if you are prepared to work on a voluntary basis or offer any free sessions.
