A quiet walk to remember

Take time to contemplate, remember, and support people you love who have been affected by cancer with a sponsored walk through some of Norfolk’s most stunning countryside.

On Sunday 20 May, Norfolk and Waveney’s own cancer charity Big C is holding its annual Walk of Thoughts, designed for people to quietly remember loved ones who are living with cancer or have lost their fight.
The event, previously held at Fritton, is moving to Acle this year. People taking part can choose between six, eight or 10 mile routes along the Broads.
This year’s Walk of Thoughts is being held in association with the Rotary Club of Great Yarmouth.
At the end of the walk there will be a chance to write down thoughts on a commemorative paper leaf and attach it to the special Walk of Thoughts tree.

All three walks will start and finish at the recreation centre on Bridewell Lane in Acle. Registration begins at 8.45am and closes at 10.45am.
Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after. Due to the terrain the walk is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Sponsorship forms can be downloaded from the Big C website, picked up from our head office at 10a Castle Meadow Norwich, or you can request to be sent one by calling 01603 619900.
And Big C’s collection van will be at Acle High School from 8.45am to 2.30pm to pick up any bags of unwanted goods you would like to give to charity.
